Garden & parks

Take a stroll in the beautiful garden of Hvidøre for a breath of fresh air and try our petanque court.

Emiliekilde, the little spring just across the street, was in earlier days along with a number of other springs in the North of Zealand believed to be sacred, providing curative water. King Christian V is said to have visited the spring on several occasions to improve his health in 1698.

The waterfront stretches in front of Hvidøre, and 200 metres away is the sandy beach of Bellevue. The marina of Skovshoved is also situated within walking or biking distance.

In the ancient Royal Deer Park you can see the wildlife or have some fun in the amusement park 'Bakken'.

There are numerous paths around the park for riding, biking, jogging or walking.

You can also go horseback riding from the nearby 'Fortunen'.

Probably one of the most relaxing ways to see the forest is by horse-drawn carriage. Hackney carriages, which in their time brought the Copenhageners to the Deer Park, are still an essential element of the special atmosphere. To this day you can climb aboard a hackney carriage and go for a ride along the broad forest paths.

Jægersborg Deer Park's history goes back more than 300 years.

Within the Park there are about 2,100 deer during the summer. They are fed during the winter but during the rest of the year they forage in the forest.
